Banderas Bay is the 7th largest bay in the world and was probably formed by an ancient volcano where the sunken rim is sometimes visible in the center of the bay.. There are also giant Manta Rays and sea turtles that visit this Bay Our most popular residents are the Hunchback Whales during the winter that inhabit the bay and the Dolphins that like to play in the bow waves of our boats. One creature you won’t find in the Bay is a shark! The dolphins raise their young in the bay and the adults patrol the entrance and keep the sharks out!
